The 'FabLab Fougères Agglomération' is located next to the main square of the city, close to restaurants, shops, and services. As the FabLab has recently moved locations, the links with the stores in the area have yet to be made, and you will have the opportunity to be part of this new space getting established. Built around the idea of creating a collaborative and creative space focused on digital fabrication, the FabLab is free and open to everyone to realize their projects, develop their skills and knowledge of technology, repair, recycle, and more. Events and workshops are also organised on a regular basis. In addition to that, local businesses and artists can reserve the space and benefit from our support and technical know-how.
Beitrag zu Unterbringung, Verpflegung und Reisekosten
The volunteer will be accommodated in a Foyer des Jeunes Travalleurs in Fougères. They will have their own room & bathroom. Depending on availability, he/she may also have his/her ownkitchen, or shared. Sheets, blankets & pillows are provided, but not towels. Fougères has a rich associative network if the volunteer wishes, & depending on their interests, they can decide to become a member of an association (sport, culture, drawing, dance, etc.). A daily allowance of 18€ will be provided, including food expenses. The international travel expenses will be reimbursed according to the EU basis.
Fortbildung im Rahmen der Tätigkeit
The volunteer will have an on-arrival training as well as mid-term evaluation organised by the Eramus National Agency. In addition, the volunteer will attend a seminary with all the ESC hosted in Brittany.
Teilnehmerprofil
We are looking for someone who shows a strong desire to communicate, to exchange, & to learn. For us, it seems essential that the volunteer is able to take the initiative, to encourage activities & propose workshops. Basic knowledge in French would be a +. No drivers license needed.
