Opis
We have volunteering opportunities at our school, a Steiner-Waldorf school in County Kilkenny, rural Ireland. The ages of the children are 4 - 12 years. You will be a volunteer classroom assistant. One position is to primarily assist with a child with special needs, the other/s to assist in various classes and age groups, as required. You will volunteer under the guidance and mentorship of the class teacher. Depending on the position, daily tasks are set out at the beginning of the week and can include helping clean the classroom, as well as possibilities for self-development and creativity. You will become part of our school community. Experience with children is essential, as well as being able to communicate in English. Studies in teaching, and exposure to Steiner-Waldorf education are not essential but a bonus in selection. Positions are for one full school year (August 2026 to June 2026)
Zakwaterowanie, wyżywienie i transport
Accommodation is provided with a host family or in an independent apartment/house. Food and transport are arranged for you.

Training is in situ - if you are already studying or have studied, or are considering teaching as a career, this will be a great learning experience for you.
Profil uczestnika
You must love children, and the education of children. You should be flexible in your thinking and working, especially if you are new to Steiner-Waldorf pedagogy. Openness is required.
