A Year To Empower

Magyar Református Szeretetszolgálat Alapítvány

Budapest Budafoki Református Egyházközség Halacska Református Óvoda

Budapest, Hungary

Description

We are offering a placement at the Halacska Kindergarten, where the education of the newest generation is determined by Christian values, acceptance, the power of community, and loving attention to children. You can join a team of dedicated and enthusiastic educators and caregivers, and have a direct effect on the lives of children. The kindergarten is located in the 22nd district of Budapest, the beautiful capital of Hungary.

Accommodation, food and transport arrangements

Costs of accommodation, food, and travel to and from Hungary are covered by the program. One to three volunteers live in a shared apartment, all having a separate room but sharing a common kitchen and bathroom. The apartment is decently equipped, and it is located in the 18th district of Budapest.

Training during the activity

During your stay, you will be encouraged to learn Hungarian and improve your other language skills. An online language tool will be offered free of charge, and we are usually able to offer in-person classes, too. We organize a welcome, a mid-term, and a closing seminar for our volunteers, and they will also participate in the seminars offered by the Hungarian National Agency. During your volunteering activity, you will be able to grow both personally and professionally.

Participant profile

Young people between 18 and 30 years of age who are eager to work with children. Previous experience is an advantage, but not a requirement.

Please apply only if you can start with a short notice, with an arrival to Budapest ideally on the 15th September, but latest by the 30th September 2026, and you can stay until 30th July 2027.
