The volunteer will join the Port-Barbe outdoor center, run by Accoord, a community education association in Nantes. Located in a Natura 2000 area, Port Barbe offers nature-based educational activities for young people. It offers rich landscapes and exceptional biodiversity, including forests, riverbanks, and open plains. The Center offers a wide range of fun and educational programs throughout the year, focusing on sports, science, and the environment. The volunteer will support the creation of fun and interactive learning tools to introduce European cultures and languages, using themes such as sports, science, environment, and sustainability. They will also take part in preparing and running international youth camps. Ideal for someone who enjoys being outdoors, working with children, and exploring nature and biodiversity. Beitrag zu Unterbringung, Verpflegung und Reisekosten
The volunteer will be accommodated in a shared house with other ESC volunteers and will share a bedroom with another volunteer of the same gender. A public transport pass will be provided for the entire duration of the project, along with access to a bicycle. French language classes will be offered during two months of the project. The volunteer will also receive pocket money and food allowance, as detailed in the Infokit available in the description above.
Fortbildung im Rahmen der Tätigkeit
The volunteer will also take part in an integration week organized by the Maison de l’Europe in Nantes, as well as two weeks of training organized by the National Agency (Erasmus+) covering intercultural communication, non-formal education, and European topics. French classes for two months will also be provided.

We're looking for a motivated, open-minded volunteer who enjoys taking part in educational and intercultural projects with children and teenagers. 🌍 You should feel comfortable working as part of a team and be happy spending time outdoors, staying active and connecting with nature. 🌿 An interest in animation, sports, science, environmental awareness or European cultural exchanges is a plus. No diploma or prior experience required — just curiosity, creativity, a caring attitude and a real team spirit! ✨
