European Solidarity Corps

The power of together

Creation of safer spaces through creativity and action

STOWARZYSZENIE JEDEN SWIAT

POZNAN, Poland

Description

Join an international team of volunteers who believe that creativity can bring people together and inspire positive social change. During this one-month ESC project in Poznań, you will co-create workshops, public actions, and social media content that promote equality, encourage dialogue, and help build communities that reject violence. Together, we will cooperate with local organisations working with women and create welcoming spaces where creativity becomes a tool for expression, empowerment, and connection. At the same time, we will invite the wider community to join open workshops, creative activities, and public events that encourage reflection, participation, and solidarity. This is not a project with a fixed programme—you will help design it. Bring your ideas, talents, and passion, and let's create something meaningful together.

Accommodation, food and transport arrangements

Volunteers will be accommodated in shared rooms (2–3 people per room) in a student dormitory in Poznań. The accommodation is fully equipped and offers everything needed for everyday living. Participants will receive a monthly food allowance and pocket money in accordance with the European Solidarity Corps programme. A public transport card for local travel in Poznań will also be provided for the entire duration of the project.

Training during the activity

Throughout the project, volunteers will receive continuous guidance and support from the project coordinator and the hosting team. Learning will take place mainly through practical experience, regular feedback, and teamwork. To deepen their understanding of the project's topic, volunteers will also take part in study visits to local organisations working with women. These visits will provide an opportunity to learn about their work, exchange experiences with professionals, and gain insight into different approaches to creating safe and inclusive spaces.

Participant profile

We are looking for open-minded, creative, and proactive volunteers who believe that communities can create positive social change. You do not need to be a professional artist—we welcome anyone who would like to use their skills, passions, and ideas to inspire others and help build safe and inclusive spaces. Whether your creative language is painting, ceramics, photography, filmmaking, music, dance, theatre, yoga, martial arts, graphic design, storytelling, or something completely different, we encourage you to share it with the community. We are looking for people who enjoy teamwork, are willing to take initiative, and are motivated to co-create workshops, public actions, and creative activities together with local participants.
