What if your year abroad could open doors — for you, and for an entire generation of rural French kids? By joining us, you become living proof for children and teenagers here that the world doesn't stop at the village limits: that culture, studies and opportunities are within their reach too. For you, it's a one-of-a-kind adventure: dive into another culture, build a European network, and feel genuinely useful every single day. For us, your presence brings European citizenship to life — adding a linguistic twist to our projects and turning everyday activities into real intercultural encounters. Beitrag zu Unterbringung, Verpflegung und Reisekosten
You'll live in Le Mans, in a shared house with other ESC volunteers — everything provided, and a ready-made international crew to explore France with! A bus card covers your daily commute (about 1 hour). On school days you can eat at the canteen; for other meals you'll receive food money. Got your own car? Bring it — we'll chip in for gas.
Fortbildung im Rahmen der Tätigkeit
You'll start with an onboarding training with the Maison de l'Europe and your volunteer group, plus the official on-arrival and mid-term ESC seminars.
Teilnehmerprofil
You might be our super volunteer if you are: voluntary, caring and at ease with people, eager to share what you know — and to learn plenty in return. Some French would be ideal to connect with the kids, alongside English or Spanish. You're versatile and curious, with interests in sport, science, arts and culture, the environment... And a driving licence is a big plus: you'd be able to drive the social centre's minibuses and take the young people on adventures!
