Join an inspiring 1-month ESC volunteering team in the mountain village of Bukowina Tatrzańska, Poland! Located near the breathtaking Tatra Mountains, this unique place combines the charm of a highland resort with local tradition—perfect for nature and outdoor lovers. We are looking for motivated youth aged 18-30 ready to support the local community through diverse activities. As part of our team, you will lead intercultural and language workshops for kids in schools, support eco-initiatives by maintaining tourist trails with the national park services, and collaborate with the local scout center to organize community events. No Polish is required, but a good level of English is essential. The Eklezja Foundation is a NGO, focused on civic engagement, intercultural education and youth development. As a volunteer you will contribute to meaningful community projects while still experiencing polish culture and daily life.
Comparticipação nas despesas de alojamento, alimentação e transporte
We’ve got you covered so you can focus on the experience. You’ll stay in a comfortable rooms shared between other volunteers (same sex), right in the heart of the mountains. To keep you going, we provide pocket money plus an additional food allowance for your food expenses. You’ll work up to 6 hours a day, leaving you plenty of time to explore the region or hit the local thermal baths. We also handle your travel costs to and from the project (Max amount for two ways according to the EU distance calculator).
Formação durante a atividade
During the first few days, you will participate in a comprehensive preparation training covering intercultural communication, the basics of the Polish language, and project-related tasks. Throughout the month, you will also receive practical training on how to conduct workshops for children, and how to effectively promote European values. Our team will provide ongoing support to help you develop your leadership and organizational skills in a multicultural environment.
Perfil do participante
We are looking for volunteers aged 18-30 with basic English skills (no polish required) which are motivated for this crazy one month experience. You should feel comfortable in the interaction with children, youth and local communities since this will be your main field working. Be ready to live in a smaller mountain village near the Tatra mountains which may not offer you the same things as a big city - perfect for nature lovers! Being eager to take initiative in different projects and being able to cooperate well with others and the staff are important values for this project. We also love to see creativity and the willingness to organize activities. Since this is also a cultural exchange, you should’ve interested in sharing your own culture with others whilst also learning about different polish traditions. Certain skills or interests can be a plus, but are not mandatory. For example: in teaching, working with children, arts, culture or language. As well as interest or experience in environmental activities or outdoor work. We value a positive attitude and flexibility. Also the willingness to step out of your comfort zone is seen highly. We lay a lot of importance on the respect for diversity and different cultures. All in all we are not looking for the "perfect“ candidate but more for people who are motivated curios and ready the get involved and contribute to meaningful social and educational work.
