The House of Europe of Nîmes is a non-profit organisation promoting European citizenship and international mobility. It supports young people, especially with fewer opportunities, through Erasmus+ projects to develop skills, autonomy and intercultural awareness. The team organises events and workshops to raise awareness about European opportunities. We wish to host 2 volunteers to bring an intercultural dimension to our projects and encourage European exchange. Their presence helps energise activities, bring new ideas and create a strong connection with young people. It is also a mutual learning experience, where everyone grows in a supportive and engaged environment. Volunteers take part in recruiting participants of the internships Erasmus+, leading workshops (interculturality, EU citizenship, conflict management), and preparing Erasmus+ mobilities. They co-lead language sessions in English, support participants before and during their internships, and contribute to communication.
Comparticipação nas despesas de alojamento, alimentação e transporte
Volunteers work 30–32 hours per week, Monday to Friday, from 9 am to 5 pm, with shorter Fridays (9 am to 1 pm). Some activities may take place in the evening or occasionally on weekends (events, workshops), with time off in compensation. The schedule may vary depending on projects. The volunteer will undertake a 12-month volunteer placement from September to August in Nîmes. They will be housed in a shared apartment with other volunteers and will have their own room.
Formação durante a atividade
The volunteer will have the opportunity to participate in an arrival seminar and a mid-term seminar organized by the Agency. They will benefit from the team's support to learn how to carry out the required activities throughout their volunteer placement and will also receive training in facilitation with the Maison de l'Europe in Nîmes during their integration.
Perfil do participante
-We expect motivated, reliable volunteers interested in working with young people and in social work. -Good communication skills, adaptability and interest in intercultural learning are essential. -A good level of English is required; French and Spanish is a plus. -Active participation and respect of the working framework are expected. -Personal experience of mobility is a plus.
