Join B-LIVE in Murcia for a long-term volunteering experience focused on youth participation, European projects and intercultural community work!
During your stay, you will support our team in the daily management of local and European projects, helping with communication, activity preparation and dissemination.
You will be part of a dynamic young environment where cultures, languages and ideas come together through youth work and international cooperation.
You may also support local events, workshops and community activities, while contributing your creativity to social media content and storytelling about its impact.
This experience is ideal for young people who want to learn how the world of projects work, develop communication and organisational skills, meet people from different backgrounds and be part of a youth organisation in a Mediterranean city!
Accommodation, food and transport arrangements
In addition to the pocket money and food allowance, each volunteer will be provided with their own room in a shared flat with other volunteers. Said flat will be located in the city centre of Murcia, in order to facilitate all the displacements that the volunteer will have to do, not only project-related, but also for their day to day and to experience everything that the city offers. All expenses related to accommodation will be covered (rent, bills, WiFi), as well as tickets for local public transport. Also, they will have bikes at their disposal, to explore Murcia and its surroundings :)
Training during the activity
Volunteers will participate in an on-arrival training and mid-term evaluation, both organised by the Spanish National Agency. In addition, they will enroll in the Online Linguistic Platform and will be able to attend a Spanish course in the first weeks of their stay (30-40 hours of duration). All volunteers will participate in a monthly meeting with the coordinating entity, also each of them will have a supervisor within the hosting entity (to talk about schedule, personal projects, etc) and a mentor outside of the entity (to share ideas and problems, get to know the city, etc).
Participant profile
We are looking for a motivated, open-minded and proactive young person interested in youth participation, European projects, communication and intercultural community work. The volunteer should be willing to support the daily work of a youth organisation, helping with project logistics, communication, preparation of activities, dissemination and support during local or European events. Being organised, flexible and responsible is important, as well as having a positive attitude, curiosity and willingness to learn. Interest in social media, photography, video, writing or content creation is a plus, as the volunteer may help document activities and share the impact of our projects. Previous experience in volunteering, youth work, project management or communication is welcome, but not essential. Basic knowledge of Spanish or English will help in daily communication, but the most important thing is motivation, respect for diversity, teamwork spirit and openness to new experiences in a multicultural environment.
