You will assist CDRO in raising awareness and gender equality promotion activities among the population, developing training for women in rural communities, conduct community visits with women's groups, organizing and developing training on new masculinities, and organizing events for International Women's Day, Day for the Prevention of Violence against Women, International Men's Day, among others, collecting and systematizing success stories of empowered women and project reporting documentation.
Comparticipação nas despesas de alojamento, alimentação e transporte
The volunteer will live in a comfortable house in the central area of Totonicapán, with access to shops, markets, transportation (minibuses), pharmacies and services. Accommodation costs, electricity, water and internet service will be paid for by the organization. The volunteer will have a single room with working area. The apartment, with kitchen and common areas, is located on the second floor of a building and the owners live downstairs. The house is located 15 minutes away from CDRO office that can be reached by minibus or taxi.
Formação durante a atividade
The Volunteer will attend an induction prior to her/his deployment. CDRO will be responsible for the Volunteer’s induction upon arrival which will include the introduction to CDRO team, objectives, programs and projects. The Volunteer will also be introduced to the communities he/she will be working with. Training during deployment will be offered to improve the volunteer’s skills and competences.
Perfil do participante
You have a degree or experience in social work and/or gender, new masculinities training, teamwork and listening capacities. You are responsible and organized, with some knowledge of PSEAH, capacity to develop and provide workshops to women and men and have a fair knowledge of Spanish.
