The project is a dynamic ESC initiative aimed at building cultural bridges and strengthening social solidarity by bringing together youth from different countries with the local community in Turkey. In this meaningful process, carried out in partnership with the District Governorate of Küçükçekmece, our volunteers will organize social, cultural, and educational activities for local youth, children, and disadvantaged groups. Taking an active role in the dynamic environment of our youth centers, volunteers will plan various workshops such as language clubs, handcrafts, and digital skills, organize social cohesion events, and share their own cultures with the local community. This journey will not only contribute to the personal and professional development of the volunteers but will also bring a fresh, multicultural vision to youth work in Küçükçekmece.
Comparticipação nas despesas de alojamento, alimentação e transporte
The comfort and safety of our volunteers are among the top priorities of our project. Our participants will live together in a shared hostel located within the boundaries of Küçükçekmece, offering easy access to the project activity sites and public transportation. Rooms are shared, and the hostel is equipped with essential facilities such as Wi-Fi and a washing machine. In line with ESC budget standards, volunteers will receive a monthly food allowance to prepare their own meals, alongside a daily pocket money payment for their personal expenses.
Formação durante a atividade
To support our volunteers in their self-development and help them carry out their tasks successfully, a comprehensive support and training program will be provided throughout the project. Participants will receive in-house mentorship and practical, task-oriented training on youth work, event planning, and digital content creation. Furthermore, to help volunteers communicate more easily with the local community, quickly adapt to daily life, and closely experience Turkish culture, regular weekly Turkish language lessons will be provided.
Perfil do participante
We are looking for 4 dynamic and highly motivated volunteers aged 18-30 who are excited about the project and eager to develop themselves. Candidates are expected to have an interest in youth work, social responsibility projects, and social cohesion activities, while being team-oriented and open to working in a multicultural environment. We prioritize candidates who are enthusiastic about designing and implementing workshops, language clubs, or social activities, and who bring creative ideas in fields like arts, sports, or digital skills. We look forward to applications from participants who are eager to promote their volunteering journey through social media or blogs, and who have at least a basic level of English to express themselves.
