Volunteers' tasks will take place in the cultural center Porto Burci, in teamwork with other Italian volunteers. Training courses, workshops, movie screenings, book presentations, conferences and concerts are just some of the activities we organize. There is also a small bar where people can chat, have a drink and enjoy moments of sociality. How a volunteer can help here?: - Helping other volunteers in daily management of the center, which includes reception, setting up the rooms and helping in creating promotional material (designing flyers, taking and editing pictures or videos); - Supporting the bar management during the events; - Bringing their own ideas to organize cultural events; - Participating in educational activities; - Promoting intercultural events, creating cultural moments between local people and foreigners; - Front-desk and administrative tasks, ensuring a warm welcome for event and course attendees; - And much more!
Comparticipação nas despesas de alojamento, alimentação e transporte
The accomodation will be a double room in a house shared with other five ESC volounteers from the city. The apartment is located in San Pio X, a neighborhood within 10' by bike or by bus and 25' walking from Porto Burci (located in the city center of Vicenza). Therefore, we will provide volunteers with a bike to use for the whole time of stay with all the stuff to drive them safely (helmet, lights, k-way...), and with bus tickets to move in the city. They will receive a pocket money and a food allowance monthly. At Porto Burci, volunteers can warm their meals and have a hot tea or coffee.
Formação durante a atividade
During the first weeks, ESC volunteers will learn how we plan and work on promotion of the activities and how to welcome people to Porto Burci. Volounteers will have the opportunity to join an Italian language course organized by one of the associations of our network, attended by other international and italian volunteers. During the rest of the year, ESC volunteers can choose to attend non-formal educational training about human rights and peace. Moreover, they'll attend the On-Arrival Training and Mid-Term Evaluation organized by the Italian National Agency in Rome.

We are looking for a motivated participant who is passionate about culture and enthusiastic about bringing events to life. The ideal candidate is people-oriented, possesses strong communication skills, and brings a friendly, welcoming attitude to the team. Being adaptable, proactive, and equipped with a solid problem-solving mindset is essential, along with the ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively. Above all, we seek someone who strongly aligns with our core values of peace, non-violence, and social inclusion.
