Your main mission in our vocationnal school situed in LA LOUPE ( 2 hours from Paris) will be to accompany underpriviledged young people in their school lives, trainings, hobbies and their insertions. More especially, you will: Assistance to teachers during language classes (French, English) and collaboration with them in the care of the students (preparing pupils to Erasmus VET mobility or school travel)/ Work in contact with the school life and be a force of proposal to animate school life with pupils (co-constructing activities with young people during classes)/ Contribution to school follow-up and support (help, tutoring, learning in sub-groups) in conjunction with the school life educators and the teachers./ In collaboration with the teams, setting up projects with an educational, sports or cultural / intercultural focus. You will spend around 18/20 hours in class, the rest of the time will be used to prepare activities and learn / improve French
Comparticipação nas despesas de alojamento, alimentação e transporte
You will be housed in a guest house with sink on site in the school.This Guest house is reserved for the two European volunteers and one international intern. The house has three single bedrooms and common areas. The volunteers will be living so together. Transport: The site is easily accessible by train or by bus. A bike will also be perhaps at your disposal. It's easier to come with your own vehicle, for greater independence. You will have access to the schools’ self-service restaurant for lunch and will receive money for breakfast, diner, weekends and holidays
Formação durante a atividade
The French national agency for ESC projects will run two seminars in which you will be invited to take part. Also, you will have access to the OLS platform which offers online French trainings during your mission. During the Training in our school : you will spend around 18/20 hours in class, the rest of the time will be used to prepare activities and learn / improve French. There may be a possibility to attend history and French classes if you wish. You will also receive a tablet computer at the beginning of the volunteering.
Perfil do participante
We expect you to only speak English in front of the students, so the students make the effort of communicating in a foreign language. We are looking for a young person over the age of 18 who speaks English very well, has a basic knowledge of French (not required), preferably has a driver’s license, is independent, and is eager to work with young people in vocational training.
Experience in caring for or working with children or young people is a plus. Skills in teaching English and organizing educational activities, in particular
