Experience volunteering and rural life in a small village in Granada! Volunteers will take part in activities related to education, community life and rural development. Their main activities include collaborating with rural schools during English classes, proposing and supporting community activities for local residents, helping with the maintenance of common spaces in the village, and taking care of our organic garden. Volunteers will also collaborate with local organisations, such as an animal shelter, and help with the daily care and walking of the dogs living in the project. Other activities may include supporting the organisation’s social media and participating in youth exchanges and international activities organised by Intercultural Life. The project takes place in a very small rural village, so it is especially suitable for people who enjoy rural life, spending time outdoors, taking initiative and contributing to educational, practical and community activities.
Beitrag zu Unterbringung, Verpflegung und Reisekosten
Volunteers will live together in shared accommodation in Trasmulas, a small rural village near Granada. Accommodation, food, pocket money and local transport related to the volunteering activities are covered by the project according to the European Solidarity Corps programme. Travel costs to and from Spain are also reimbursed according to the programme rules.
Fortbildung im Rahmen der Tätigkeit
Volunteers will receive an introduction to the project, the organisation and their tasks. They will be supported and guided throughout the volunteering experience and will have regular meetings with the coordinator and a mentor. They will also participate in the training activities provided by the European Solidarity Corps and will have opportunities to reflect on their learning process and develop new skills.
Teilnehmerprofil
We are looking for open-minded, flexible and motivated people who are genuinely interested in rural life and feel comfortable living in a very small village. Volunteers should have at least a basic knowledge of Spanish and enjoy working with children, as collaboration with rural schools is an important part of the project. We value people with initiative and creativity, willing to propose activities for the local community. An interest in gardening, outdoor activities and community life is welcome. We are looking for friendly and responsible people who are willing to adapt, share ideas and actively contribute to the project.
