Maison Pour Tous Léo Lagrange is an organization which provides non-formal education in urban areas. The youth sector has 7 dedicated youth workers. The MPTLL youth sector welcomes young people from 11 to 25 years old to support them with their needs, initiatives and projects. The volunteer will be in contact with teenagers every day through activities in youth clubs, projects, events. The volunteer will support the worker dedicated to Sustainable development, DIY and upcycling. Support the clay bread oven project. Support in welcoming and coordinating a team of inhabitants to run a swop room. Support in organizing and running a repair café. Several activities and projects in this mission are related to the sea and the marine environment. Beitrag zu Unterbringung, Verpflegung und Reisekosten
You will live in a Foyer des Jeunes Travailleurs not far from the MPTLL (15mn by bus). You'll have your own private bedroom with a private bathroom, a fridge and microwave. You'll have access to the FJT restaurant (small prices) for your meals (breakfast is free).FJT has a kitchen where you can cook. At the beginning of each month, you will receive money for groceries (240€) and for pocket money (240€). You will have free access to public transport in the city with a pass. International travels will be refunded with E+ calculator. Green travels are possible.
Fortbildung im Rahmen der Tätigkeit
- Arrival seminars are provided by the Erasmus French National Agency –
French Lessons: learn French by taking part in French lessons provided by our French teacher with a group 2 hours/week.
Participation in trainings sessions with and for the MPTLL youth workers team.
Teilnehmerprofil
You will need to be :
- DYNAMIC since you will be in daily contact with teenagers and adults you will have to propose activities and spend time with them
- CURIOUS to discover new things, new people and to talk and communicate with different people
- CREATIVE to propose activities (always supported by a youth worker)
- SOCIABLE to work in a team, with several different profile and with locals partner organisations
- No technical skills are requested but strong motivation.
A minimum level of French would facilitate the work in a team and with target groups.
