Beschreibung
One Mosaic is a short-term European Solidarity Corps volunteering project hosted by UG DEMOS in Brčko, Bosnia and Herzegovina. The project aims to promote solidarity, intercultural dialogue and active citizenship through community-based activities. Volunteers will support educational and recreational activities for children, organise creative workshops, participate in youth initiatives and contribute to local community projects. Through non-formal learning and teamwork, volunteers will develop new skills, discover different cultures and make a positive impact on the local community.
Beitrag zu Unterbringung, Verpflegung und Reisekosten
DEMOS will provide volunteers with suitable accommodation in Brčko, Bosnia and Herzegovina. Food arrangements and financial support for meals will be provided according to the project conditions. Local transportation related to project activities will be organised or supported by the host organisation. Volunteers will receive guidance regarding travel arrangements, accommodation and daily living needs throughout their volunteering period. All arrangements will follow European Solidarity Corps guidelines.
Fortbildung im Rahmen der Tätigkeit
Upon arrival, volunteers will receive an introduction to the host organisation, its activities, local community and project objectives. They will be provided with task-specific guidance and practical training on working with children, preparing educational and recreational activities, non-formal learning methods and intercultural communication. Volunteers will also receive continuous support and mentoring from the host organisation throughout the project. They will have opportunities to reflect on their learning, develop new skills and improve their teamwork and communication abilities.
Teilnehmerprofil
We are looking for motivated, open-minded and responsible young people who are interested in volunteering, intercultural learning and community engagement. Participants should be willing to work with children, support educational and recreational activities, cooperate with local people and take part in community initiatives. They should be adaptable, proactive, respectful of cultural differences and able to work in an international team. Basic English communication skills and a willingness to learn are expected. No previous volunteering experience is required.
