Volunteering for Green Steps

Green Steps - Bildung im Einklang mit der Natur

St. Pölten, Austria

The application deadline has passed.

Activity description

Green Steps is an international environmental network which was originally founded by two Europeans in Shanghai. In St. Pölten, we have developed 16 different routes in city parks and suburban spaces, which we use as "mobile campus" to create a bioregional identity among participants. Our Nature Guides lead these routes several times a year to learn about local plants and animals through the seasons. We divide our work time between the office and nature. Outdoor activites: - supporting nature guides (botanical, zoological tours, environmental impact actions) - possibly leading outdoor activities (once you have completed the nature guide training) - assisting in the design of new activities. Office activities: - designing flyers - social media management - translating English teaching material - designing and proofreading species & concept ID cards - designing offline games Please send your CV and MOTIVATION LETTER to: daniela.paulischin@jugendinfo-noe.at.

Volunteers will receive a public transport ticket which enables them to travel within the municipality. They will be reimbursed for all travels beyond the municipality borders connected to Green Steps projects.
