Green Steps - Bildung im Einklang mit der Natur

St. Pölten, Austria

Kirjeldus

Green Steps is a small international NGO which was originally founded by two Europeans in Shanghai. We support schools to practice place-based learning by extending classrooms into nature. We design pedagogical trails in city parks and suburban spaces to drive environmental empathy and systems understanding. Our Nature Guides lead these trails several times a year to learn about local plants, animals and ecosystems. We divide our work time between the office and nature. Outdoor activities: supporting nature guides, mapping natural and cultural features - leading outdoor activities - assisting in the design of new activities. Office activities: designing flyers, social media management, translating English teaching material, designing and proofreading species & concept ID cards, designing offline games.
