Green Steps - Bildung im Einklang mit der Natur

Description
Green Steps is a small international NGO which was originally founded by two Europeans in Shanghai. We support schools to practice place-based learning by extending classrooms into nature. We design pedagogical trails in city parks and suburban spaces to drive environmental empathy and systems understanding. Our Nature Guides lead these trails several times a year to learn about local plants, animals and ecosystems. We divide our work time between the office and nature. Outdoor activities: supporting nature guides, mapping natural and cultural features - leading outdoor activities - assisting in the design of new activities. Office activities: designing flyers, social media management, translating English teaching material, designing and proofreading species & concept ID cards, designing offline games. Accomodation: private room in shared apartment Pocket money: ca. 210 EUR / month Food reimbursement: ca. 390 EUR / month Transport arrangement: monthly subsidy for public transport
Formation pendant l’activité
We train you on in regard to all dimensions of our daily work: nature education, office administration, design and marketing. The following training courses are offered and provided during the project: nature guide training offline and online, German language course, On-arrival training and Mid-term meeting delivered by National Agency. Profil du participant
We expect an affection for nature and children. Candidates should have a growth mindset and digital literacy. We request strong English language command both written and spoken. We do not request training or certificates in the field of nature education. You will receive training. ESC volunteers are invited to assist in all areas, in particular web app development.
