Green Steps - Bildung im Einklang mit der Natur
St. Pölten, Austrija
Apraksts
Train as a place-based educator with Green Steps.
Green Steps is a small international NGO which was originally founded by two Europeans in Shanghai. We support schools to practice place-based learning by extending classrooms into nature. We design pedagogical trails in city parks and suburban spaces to support with our activities the development of environmental empathy, systems understanding and bioregional stewardship.
We divide our work time between office and the outdoors. Expect to spend lots of time exploring different outdoor places from spring to autumn. Do also count on substantial office time during the cold season, when we review and improving past activities and plan the year ahead.
TASKS: Outdoor activities: map natural and cultural features, assist, develop and lead pedagogical trails and workshops.
Office activities: create and publish social media content, write event reviews, designing and proofread species & concept ID cards.
