Descrizione dell'attività

MAPPING SOLIDARITY is a 9 months European Solidarity Corps project, addressed to 6 young people coming from different countries. The project promotes social inclusion, equal opportunities and solidarity values, by involving young volunteers in the preparation, development and implementation of non-formal educational activities and ICT skills on different topics (such as citizenship, sport, arts, culture, food, young entrepreneurship, human rights etc) for young people (migrants, asylum seekers, refugees, disabled people, NEETs ecc.) implemented by CESIE and its local network (associations that provide services for migrants, kids and disabled people). Each volunteer will be involved for 30-35 hours per week (from Monday to Friday).We are looking for a voluntter to start the project from February 2022 and it will finish at end of October 2022.

Alloggio, vitto e trasporto

CESIE will provide accommodation for all the ESC volunteers. They will be hosted in an apartment located in a city center in Palermo and they will share the room with another volunteer of the same gender. The costs of meals are covered by CESIE. Most of the local organisations that volunteers will implement their activities are located in the city center. In the case of far distances, CESIE will cover the costs for public transportation.

Formazione durante l'attività

Upon their arrival, each volunteer will take part in an on-arrival training provided by CESIE in Palermo. Volunteers participating in the long-term volunteering service will take part in an on-arrival training and mid-term evaluation provided by Italian National Agency. Moreover, volunteers will also have the opportunities to participate in a mid-term evaluation with CESIE. They will also have the opportunity to attend 40 hours of oonline linguistic course and in case 40 hours of optional Italian language course in Palermo at the Italian language institute.

Profilo del partecipante

18 -30 years old - a basic level of English, strong motivation and interest to work in a team with the different target groups (children, migrants, disable adults etc..); Basic experiences or motivation in working with minors and young people.
