CARITAS SOFIA

SOFIA, Bulgaria

The application deadline has passed.

Activity description

"A New Hope" is a creative and interactive project where volunteers will have a direct impact on supporting the educational and developmental growth of different vulnerable groups in Bulgaria: refugees, Roma and disabled children. "A New Hope" aims to develop equal yet adapted approaches across vulnerable groups, adapting specific needs and the social context to achieve a fair future for these children. You will work directly with at least three different groups of children each week, moving between the refugee camps' classrooms, Roma community centres and a day centre for children and young people with disabilities, as well as excursions and other trips they may organise as part of the centres' services. All centres belong to Caritas Sofia’s wider community and humanitarian mission which has been serving Bulgaria for 25 years. Volunteers will work directly with colleagues and NGO partners to implement their ideas with the children themselves: playing and learning all together.
