Connection- Non formal education for childern, youngster and women

The project “Connection” – Non formal education for children, youngsters and women – has been developed in partnership with the organizations: Seiklejate Vennaskond (Estonia) and Mundus (Spain). The project will take place, from November 2018 to August 2019, in Palermo (Sicily) and will last nine months. It will involve four young people between 18-30 years (two for each partner organization). Overall objective of the project is to reduce early school leaving, improving literacy and strengthening education and childhood education and care. We expect to achieve the following specific objectives: - to increase knowledge and skills of young volunteers on the role of non-formal education in the fight against school leaving and gender violence; - to fight educational poverty among children aged 0-6, Italian and immigrants, especially among those living in social, cultural and economic situations at risk of exclusion; - to raise the awareness of young people about volunteering.

Alloggio, vitto e trasporto

The volunteer will share the flat with other volunteers from Spain, France and Estonia. The flat is in the center of Palermo. The accomodation and food is covered by the project.

Profilo del partecipante

The project will involve 4 youngster between 18\30 years old (two for each countries). Requisite: - openness to dialogue and comparison; - mental balance and ability to adapt in difficult contexts; - willingness to get involved and review their ideas on education and learning; - ability to act independently; - responsibility, respect for teamwork and openness to dialogue. Volunteers will be selected in an impartial, transparent and objective way, regardless of the their ethnic group, from religion, sexual orientation, political opinion.
