The Kindergarten with Integration Branches in Kwidzyn is the only public institution in the city that specializes in integrating healthy and sick children. The kindergarten runs: pre-school education for children aged 3 - 6 years. The kindergarten has a caring, educational and educational function. It is a place of fun for healthy and disabled children. It provides children with the opportunity to play and learn together in safe, friendly conditions that are adapted to their developmental needs. It shapes the emotional resistance of children with different physical and intellectual abilities in children. The kindergarten aims to build children's knowledge about the social world. The kindergarten introduces children to the world of aesthetic values ​​and develops the ability to express themselves through music, small theatrical forms and visual arts, it shapes the sense of social belonging (to family, group, peer and national community) and patriotic attitude in children. Methods of working with children in our kindergarten: dog therapy, felinotherapy, hippotherapy, M. Montessori Method, Good Start Method, W. Sherborne Method, Kinesitherapy, Logotherapy, elements of Klanzy Play Pedagogy. For many years, the kindergarten has been hosting foreign volunteers who support our educational work and introduce new cultures and new experiences to the environment of the kindergarten and Kwidzyn. The work of foreign volunteers is a significant cognitive and developmental element for young children who learn openness, tolerance, and respect for otherness. Additionally, disabled children have the only opportunity to get to know people from other cultures, as their parents often cannot afford trips abroad or cannot travel with sick children. Thanks to work in a kindergarten, volunteers discover and learn about the development of preschool children, social and emotional development, etc. They acquire skills in working with young children, teaching, and also working with disabled children. Very often, kindergarten hosts people who want to test their skills in working with children, after one year of experience, they then decide to continue pedagogical education or other fields of study. It is all thanks to the good support they receive from the teachers in the Kindergarten. Over a period of 12 months, the volunteers become part of the preschool community, thanks to which they can give a lot, but also receive. Volunteers, depending on their abilities, willingness, predispositions, work constantly in one group, or conduct classes/support teachers in various groups. Volunteers work in the kindergarten from 8 am to 3 pm, Monday to Friday, supporting the work of teachers.
