P60, a citizens initiative, is the independent venue for pop and culture in Amstelveen (near Amsterdam airport). Opened in 2001, P60 measures 2090 m2 with a concert hall (capacity 600 people standing), a foyer, a café and three rehearsal rooms for bands/deejays. The café also hosts expositions from young artists on a regular basis. Each year around 50.000 people attend the 150 activities (concerts, club events, talent development workshops). With a small team of 12 people ( 8 fte) and more than 70 local volunteers, P60 is deeply rooted in the local community. The target groups of P60 are young adults (age 12-25) and music lovers (25+).
