Vanhamäki Foundation has more than 25 years of experience in social work aimed at helping the most vulnerable children and their families to live better lives, supporting the partially disabled and the unemployed in their daily lives and support them on their return to work, providing leisure facilities and play areas for local people, to grow organic food to take care of the well-being of nature and to provide its operating environment as a meeting, learning and growth environment for volunteers, trainees, students and people of all ages who need or want community support for their daily lives. Vanhamäki employs about 30 experts in various fields as child protection instructors, in the food services, in organic farming, in the care of yard areas and buildings, in cleaning and in office tasks. There is also a horse riding school and sports facilities in the same yard, maintained by local entrepreneurs as well as the rehearsal facilities for theater and expression of the civic college. Vanhamäki cooperates with educational institutions and enables training agreements and work assignments for young people in various fields.
