The first Czech-German Kindergarden Junikorn in Pilsen was founded with the vision to bring Czech and German children together to grow up in a bilingual environment. The mission of our organisation is defined by high-quality education for children between 2 - 6 years and special care for whole families. The main target group of our organisation are the children in the preschool age and their parents, further we serve the general public which is interested in educational methods or language courses.

The foundations of language adoption in the kindergarden constist in daily contact to native speakers (teachers, trainees or volunteers) and joint projects with our partner organisations (e.g. kindergarden in Weiden, Association of Germans in Czechia and others). The balanced development of children's potential skills is the core of used pedagogy. There are two classes opened - the first one for 18 children between 3-6 years and the second one for 6 children between 2-3 years. Junikorn offers daily programme of the kindergarden from 7 a.m. till 5 p.m. and complementary courses (language, sport and educational) for the parents or public. We are a private, non profit organisation with familiar atmosphere established in 2013 and opened its services to the public from October 2014. In the future we intend to increase our capacity by opening a new building due to high demand for our services, so that's why we apply for two volunteers' places (in every location one volunteer).
