The association aims to undertake ventures in order to intervene on childhood and youth discomfort.
Since 1984 until nowadays lots of children and kids have been hosted in our houses, we promoted projects with assistance, support, cultural and professional education for them, eventually go along with them, by now "grown", towards autonomy.
We promote the development of potentialities of children, kids and young adults with social and domestic disadvantages, believing that care and education (when consciously managed) can contribute to the solution of such problems.
Every child needs to grow up and be educated in a functional way within his family, but not always the family can meet those needs.
The association “Il Tetto” gives this answer where the family is lacking or totally inadequate and therefore absent. The child’s need becomes an open question and if it is not listened, it could become discomfort and lead to antisocial behaviour.
That’s why going with kids towards autonomy and possibly until the integration into the world of work is a very important service for the entire society.
The Association has moreover the formal aim to educate employed or unemployed people, referring in particular (but not exclusively) to people in disadvantaged conditions or socio-economic difficulties.
About 40 volunteers and 30 educators and other people that provide professional and working support, within the association's projects.
The Association carries out:
- five community care for minors: each group gives accommodation to 7 kids that are between 8 and 18 years old.
- a project of accompanying towards autonomy for young adults with social difficulty. About 60 boys and girls are hosted in 7 apartments.
- An italian school for foreigners
- Fundraising activities
The Association carries out:
- a social and community care group for minors: it currently gives accommodation to 7 kids that are between 9 and 16 years old. The care group is a community (a family kind one) that develops around a couple of volunteers with their own two kids.
- 4 groups appartament that host 30 boys and girls circa, between 9 and 18 years old.
- The “small house of grown”, a project of accompanying towards autonomy for young adults with social difficulty. 24 boys and girls are hosted in 5 apartments.
The Association “il tetto casal fattoria onlus” has the following authorizations:
- The authorization to operate as a social and community care group (Decree 2455/91 of December 19th ,1991),
- Validation from Rome’s District for managing residential services for minors (Decree 1996 of November 16th , 2000), and it’s:
- Partner of C.N.C.M. (Minors' National Coordination Community)
