The general aims of IRD are:
1. promotion of intercultural, inter-religious, inter-civilization dialogue and creation of a common culture of peace;
2. promotion of comprehensive human, community and global development;
3. unification of the potential of different cultures to solve global challenges.

The regular activities are:
1. Intercultural Youth Festivals (annually since 2006).
2. Long Term Training Courses “Intercultural Communication Principles” (periodically since 2004).
3. Training Course “Intercultural Learning and International Youth work” (annual since 2006).
4. Training Course “European Youth Policy, Structures and Programs” (annual since 2006).
5. Various international youth programs in the framework of Erasmus+ Program (Seminars, Youth Exchanges, Training Courses, etc.).
6. Research and Publications (Training manuals: “Intercultural Learning and International Youth Work”, “European Youth Policy, Structures and Programs”, Armenian Translation of Program Guide of Youth in Action Program of EC etc.).
7. Work with youth from national minorities living in Armenia.
8. Study Visits with intercultural explorations to Armenian regions and other countries of the world (India, Iran, etc.)
9. receiving / sending EVS volunteers - supporting 5 organisations in Armenia to receive EVS volunteers.
10. Educational Summer Camps on intercultural learning, symbolism.
11. Personal development and healthy lifestyle.

Our target groups are:
1. Members and volunteers of our organization.
2. Participants of public events organised by IRD.
3. Members of our branches out of Armenia.
4. Youth from Armenian regions and foreign countries.
5. Experts involved in the activities of IRD.
6. Subscribers, readers and stakeholders of our publications and educational products.
7. All the other people interested in Intercultural Dialogue, Community Development.

Currently the staff of our organisation consists of people who have taken responsibility to manage the administration and activities of IRD. Several other local volunteers also actively assist the organisation with local and international projects and activities.

This organisation is willing to involve volunteers who face situations which make their participation in activities more difficult, from the following categories for different types of project:

• Educational difficulties
• Geographical obstacles
