Опис на организацијата

Depaul International is the parent company of a group of charities working with homeless and marginalised people around the world. Every year we work with more than 7,000 people who are homeless, disadvantaged, vulnerable, or at risk. In 2006, Depaul International founded a national branch in Slovakia, a non-profit organisation called Depaul Slovensko. We started with the opening of a low-threshold night shelter of St. Vincent de Paul in Bratislava, to keep homeless people from freezing during winter. Its capacity is 150 people. The second step was the opening of the Shelter of St. Louise de Marillac in 2008, where we are taking care of homeless people suffering from illness. More recently, we have opened the St. Elisabeth´s Centre, where we provide a medical drop-in service for homeless people in need of minor medical care (cleaning and dressing wounds).

Organisation is situated in in Bratislava, Capital of Slovakia. It is the centre of political, cultural and political life and other european metropolis – Vienna and Budapest are very close. Bratislava has got a good geographical position.
