Turk Kultur Vakfı (TKV) is a not for profit foundation that aims to promoteintercultural dialogue, peace and understanding through intercultural exchange opportunities. TKV is the official representative of AFS Intercultural Programs in Turkey as well as Youth Exchange&Study (YES) Programs. TKV is member of the SENTIO Network and EFIL (European Federation of Intercultural Learning).
TKV also offers intercultural communication courses at schools; trainings and panel discussions at educational institutions as well as study camps for its volunteers and the general public.
TKV is a member of European Federation for Intercultural Learning (EFIL) based in Brussels, Belgium. Our organization fosters cross cultural dialogue primarily among youth and women over 35. At the same time, we provide conferences, camps, trainings, study tours, short exchange programs to focus on civil society concepts, active citizenship, intercultural dialogue and understanding which are core values of Europe.
TKV offers skill development spaces for the young participants in order to prepare them for the global and regional challenges through intercultural communication trainings.
TKV has 4 offices (Istanbul, Ankara, İzmir & Adana). Main office is in Istanbul. TKV has 11 staff members and approximately 300 volunteers in Turkey.
