descrição da organização

The affido pflegefamilien | kinderdörfer | familienarbeit GmbH is an active non-profit organisation owned by the two associations: Foster parents association Styria and Society for Styrian Children's Villages.

Our organization is committed to promoting social parenting in all forms and offers most of the operational activities. These include the departments "Social Parenthood", "Children's Villages" and "Socio-spatial family work". The goal of the organization is to make concepts for youth welfare institutions and to administrate them, to administrate child care institutions and to plan and provide educational offers in issues which range from pedagogical, psychological, school-, health- and job market-related matters to socio-political ones.

The Anton-Afritsch-Children´s Village, as an working area of affido gmbh, is in charge of care for children and young people within the “Vollen Erziehung” (housing in a non-family environment according to the Styrian Youth Welfare Law)

Target group of the Children’s Village is children and young people in a state of social need, who cannot live in their original family and are therefore sheltered elsewhere by the youth welfare. These children and young people have made all kinds of negative experiences: use of force as an “educational tool” in the family, sexual abuse, alcohol abuse by their parents, lack of support in school issues, difficulties to learn, behavioural problems etc.
Due to the socialization conditions which are unfavourable to the development of the personality they are disadvantaged in many fields, such as personal development, integration in the school, ability to take part in group activities etc.

The center of the Children's village are the four residential groups for children and young people. They are designed for 8-10 children (from 5 years) and young people who have previously experienced crisis-ridden life and relationship structures. The children and adolescents are accompanied around the clock by a mixed-gender, multi-professional team (reference carer system as a temporary network of relationships).
- We offer a protected development framework in which children and young people receive support and guidance in all areas of life in order to be able to process and process their socialization experiences.
- We want to support children and young people in the development of their personalities, enable them to lead an independent and responsible life and promote social and professional integration.
- We support children and young people in their search for an individual and meaningful use of their free time (topic-specific offers on site and / or integration into regional offers, e.g. football club). We have a wide range of sports (street soccer, beach volleyball, soccer, swimming in your own bathroom, etc.) and the work and creative room offers a wide range of activities. The cultural promotion is mainly made possible through the use of the culture pass.

Based on the experience that professional integration is characterized by breaks, in the transition phase between school and vocational training we enable work training in the areas of green maintenance, cleaning, manual work, office work, perseverance, reliability, care, a sense of responsibility, independent and collegial work to be able to maintain.
