Περιγραφή της οργάνωσης

We are an eco-collective organized in a non profit, non-governmental association located on a farm on the countryside (the west coast of Sweden). We do small scale, farming, forestry, animal keeping, natural building (incl. solutions in warmth, water and sewer). Teaching and experiments, and adventure and personal development. And our aim is to spread competence in the field of self-sustainability through an evolving learning centre. Since 2010 we are looking for new ways to re-settle the countryside. We experiment with new and traditional ways of farming and building. Our activities include personal growth and also adventure activities related to nature.
Lately we have been working a lot with community building, leadership training. Also storytelling/adventure as a method.
We have several hundred visitors each year, and an ever growing network.

What makes the host unique is that we live and work at the same place. We share household and volunteers rarely leave the place – because they like it here.

We have the same mission now as when we set out ten years ago, to empower ourselves and others in self sustainability, ultimately creating and eco-village.

Sustainable lifestyle in the context of the challenges that a globalized civilization poses. Specifically in the context of: energy issues, ecology issues, and an unsustainable economy based on fossil fuel and debt. In these challenging times we would like to show young people how they can become more independent.
