ProMo Cymru has developed a reputation of providing innovative development solutions. It’s core purpose is the development of young people. To do this we use principles and practices of C-operative Development and the dynamics of the cultural industries to engage meaningfully with young people.

The work of ProMo Cymru is divided between different projects, at the moment these include:
• Ebbw
Vale Institute (EVi) a regenerated building in Ebbw Vale, which is currently being developed as a cultural hub by ProMo Cymru and is now 80%operational.. The aim of EVi is to encourage local community participation and help to activate creative sector businesses within Blaenau Gwent (www.create-at-evi.org)

• The Sprout
An innovative website with the latest events, news, new brands and a database of services for young people. Young people and organisations are able to input info, news, issues and events directly onto the site (www.thesprout.co.uk)

• MEIC
A 24 hours helpline service for children and young people up to the age of 25 in Wales. http://meiccymru.org/meic/

and the Informed Families Project, a national information and advice service for families.

ProMo Cymru has regularly hosted EVS volunteers since 2003 and the volunteers have increasingly become a valuable part of the organisation, enhancing the capacity to deliver creative and innovative work for and with young people with fewer opportunities.
Having already hosted EVS volunteers, ProMo feels it is of benefit to the association and community to do so. The volunteers brings new ideas, skills and experiences; provide a different perspective to local and global issues; and bring the possibility to develop European links for future co-operation and projects such as Youth Exchanges
