Beschreibung der Einrichtung

Društvo DIH was funded in 2003 as a voluntary, independent, non-for-profit organisation that works in the fields of integration and socialization of homosexuality, promotion and protection of human rights, political activities, socializing, sports and recreation, cultural activities, art, creativity and all other areas that are related to sexual orientation and gender identity. Our regular activities consist of social events, talk and self-help groups for LGBTIQ+ (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, intersex, queer and other people who question their sexual orientation or gender identity) in Ljubljana, meetings for parents of LGBTIQ+ people, newsletter, counselling, thematic camps, hiv and other sexually transmitted infections prevention, training and mentoring of volunteers, distribution of informative and preventive materials, field work and informing, teaching about human rights, lobbying and advocacy. Our member and main target group are mainly lesbians, gays, bisexual, trangender, intersex and queer people and all the people who are questioning their sexual orientation or gender identity, their family, friends and other supporters.
