Beschreibung der Einrichtung

The aim of the Center is to promote, improve and support the personal development of the individual through education and research of their own resources and talents to use them in the best way possible. Center is also developing the culture of free time, improving lives and society as a whole and helping the charity (collecting cash and material resources) for malignant patients, especially children, socially disadvantaged families and other socially disadvantaged groups (particularly those with poor health, elder and disabled) to improve the quality of life and living. The Center operates on the area of Novi Zagreb bringing together different professions: pedagogues, psychologists, social workers, sociologists, teologists, communicologists, Gestalt therapists and counsellors, workers with the knowledge of palliative care, physiotherapists. Our team consists of 9 people, 10 external professional gestalt therapists and supervisors and more than 30 national and international volunteers.

Our mission is to provide constant support and assistance to vulnerable groups of society: the malignant and their families, the elderly and disabled, the socially disadvantaged, children and young people with special needs and other marginalized and vulnerable social groups. Circles work to build a civil society that is human-centered and open-minded, a society in which the active participation of all social actors is encouraged and in which the values ​​of personal development work are recognized. Through our activities, we build a society of equality and respect for fundamental human rights, through activities aimed at caring for health, quality of life, prevention of violence, promoting tolerance and democratic values, and fostering inter-generational and peer solidarity.

The activities we undertake seek to sensitize the public to the needs of vulnerable social groups, as well as to encourage the local and wider community to become involved and participate in the activities, to encourage volunteering and active participation.

Main and regular activities in Circles Center:
1. Educations and workshops - for children, youth, teachers, parents, medicine workers, citizens
2. Counselling - integrative gestalt psycho and socio therapy for sensitive and vulnerable groups, as well for citizens
3. Humanitarian work - humanitarian stands and Donation center, as well humanitarian actions
4. Project management - national and European projects for children, youth, volunteers, sensitive and vulnerable groups ( elder, disabled, people suffering from cancer ): anti-bullying, social inclusion, support for single parent children and families, mediation, personal growth of youth, psycho-social support and practical help for vulnerable groups, institutional support for NGO's, improving health/preventing disease/promoting mental health.
