The Elisabethheim Havetoft is dedicated to the reception, support, encouragement and independence of children and adolescents who need help with their upbringing. It runs a day group for children from school age, residential groups, a school for children considered "unschoolable", a farm and various therapy groups. In addition, unaccompanied minor refugees from various countries are taken into care. In total, up to 72 children, adolescents and young adults find a home at the Elisabethheim.
The Elisabethheim Havetoft, founded in 1888 by a pastor from Havetoft, has developed into a modern youth welfare facility with a wide range of care services in its more than 100 years of existence. The responsible body is the association Elisabethheim Havetoft e.V. It acts according to the principle of the guiding principle of Christian youth welfare: to accompany, to support, to make independent - with the aim of laying the foundation for a successful life.
All young people who come to Elisabethheim should feel comfortable here. To this end, they are offered acceptance, security and the necessary shelter. The staff members of the Elisabethheim want to teach the children and young people all the skills, abilities and techniques they need to become as independent as possible. We work with the children and young people living with us on their individual possibilities and limits in order to strengthen their personal responsibility.
