The "ligue de l'enseignement des Vosges" was created in 1866. A popular education movement, it invites citizens to join forces in the fight against inequalities, to debate and to be actors in the city in order to build a fairer, more free and more united aiming at the emancipation of all. The Education League is present throughout France, via its 102 departmental federations. The Ligue de l'Enseignement des Vosges was created in 2001. Since then, its areas of intervention have been very diverse:
- organization of holidays and discovery classes,
- organization of sports and cultural activities,
- education for citizenship and international solidarity,
- youth engagement (Civic Service, Junior Association, C.E.S)
- training in the fields of voluntary and professional animation
- participatory interventions in schools and with partners working in the youth field and through non-formal education
- support for associative structures and the SSE through the local support system (DLA)
- action to help inclusion, work with disabled people, work on actions giving pride of place to intergenerational initiatives.
Through these multiple activities, the main objectives that we pursue can be summarized as follows:
- act with the inhabitants on their place of life,
- act in popular circles,
- to be an actress of the School,
- work for the recognition and expression of cultural diversity,
- work for a citizenship that is exercised in all political spaces.
The Vosges Education League is a federation of associations. Our form of organization resolutely provides for each departmental federation to adopt a particular project, anchored in a territory and nourished by the political culture of its associations, by the affinities of its volunteers and by the professional culture of its salaried workers.
Our Vosges federation, in 2022, brings together a large number of associative structures and actors in local life. It has a role as head of the network, which implies being at the service of the associations affiliated with it and supporting the vitality of local associations.

Our economic functioning is based on a perfect balance between income from activities and subsidies.
