Opis organizacji

The YMCA in the Czech Republic, Young Men’s Christian Association, is a non-governmental and non-profit youth organization which wants to contribute to the positive building of civil society. In the Czech Republic the YMCA is divided into 28 local YMCAs and the National Office. Together the YMCAs have 3 675 members, almost 1000 from them are volunteers participating in our activities. Anybody can participate in YMCA programmes, regardless of their age, religion, race, gender or social or political background. Through Christian values, YMCA desires to develop all sides of the human personality: body, mind and spirit. Our organization works through the local associations of YMCA throughout the Czech Republic. They organize activities for children, youth and families. We are members of the European Alliance of YMCAs (YMCA Europe) and the World Alliance of YMCAs. The YMCA is the oldest, the largest and the most widespread youth work organization in the world.
