Fondazione Flaminia (Flaminia Foundation) is a non-profit foundation established in 1989 with the aim to promote the development of the University of Bologna - Campus in Ravenna. We promote the universities through scholarships, internships, we facilitate meetings between graduates and the world of employment. We offer support for the teaching and research activities of the University courses, we organize conventions and cultural initiatives. We finance the introduction of new technologies in classrooms and university labs, we run master classes, high education courses, summer and winter schools. We facilitate the opportunities for studying and training abroad, we finance cultural and recreational projects of student associations. We strive to ensure the right to education, and we prepare suitable structures and services to promote the stable presence of students in Ravenna.
For more than 20 years we have been working closely with universities and represent, at the regional level, a permanent observatory center for the situation of young people in higher education in the age group between 18 and 30 years. Also since November 2015, the Innovation Centre of Fondazione Flaminia CIFLA has been working vigorously with the idea of connecting students, researchers, Ravenna citizens, international partners and universities in both local and international projects.
We have been accredited as a Sending, Hosting and Coordinating Organisation for EVS since 2015. To our incoming volunteers we provide a non-formal learning environment especially in the areas of communication, promotion and projects management within the various and multi-disciplinary activities of Flaminia; where they can be introduced to our organisation that strives in local as well as international projects. We are looking for volunteers who are especially interested in developing skills regarding higher education organization, services for students and campus, university and local community collaborations and international project management. We are looking for partnership with youth organisations that preferably provide educational opportunities combining formal and non formal methods. To our outgoing volunteers, we ensure smooth and effective application and pre-departure process as well as the ongoing follow up during the project. In every occasion, tailoring the projects and providing a creative space for the volunteer, in accordance with their profile is not only a priority but where we find strength.
