IN VIA ist ein selbständiger Fachverband des Caritasverbandes in seiner Funktion als Spitzenverband der freien Wohlfahrtspflege, zugleich anerkannter Träger der Jugendhilfe/Jugendsozialarbeit und hat über 100 Jahre Erfahrung in diesem Arbeitsfeld.
IN VIA widmet sich der Bildung, Beratung, Begleitung, Förderung und dem Schutz von Menschen, insbesondere von Mädchen und jungen Frauen, mit dem Ziel, sie auf ihrem Weg in die Selbständigkeit und in kritischen Lebensphasen zu unterstützen, z. B mit Angeboten in Jugendsozialarbeit, Sozialarbeit an Schulen, Arbeitsberatung und Flüchtlingsarbeit. Mit unserem Netzwerk in ganz Europa ist es auch Aufgabe, junge Menschen für Europa zu begeistern und internationale, interkulturelle Erfahrungen zu ermöglichen besonders dadurch, dass wir ihnen ermöglichen, Europa durch eigene Auslandsaufenthalte (ESK und AuPair) hautnah zu erleben. Ziel unserer Arbeit ist es, die jungen Menschen dazu zu befähigen, ihre Stärken zu entfalten, ihre Interessen zu vertreten und ihre Entscheidungen selbst treffen und verantworten zu können.

IN VIA Aschaffenburg verantwortet unterschiedliche Arbeitsbereiche und Projekte: Europabüro, Prävention an Schulen, Frauenpower, Bahnhofsmission, Erziehungsbeistandschaft und Schwimmen macht Schule. Die Zielgruppen variieren je nach Schwerpunkt.

Das Europabüro kann auf langjährige Erfahrung in dem Bereich Europäischer Freiwilligendienst zurückblicken. Seit 1999
entsenden wir junge Menschen zwischen 18 und 30 Jahren ins ESK oder den AuPair-Dienst und betreuen als Koordinierungsorganisation unterschiedliche Aufnahmeorganisationen.

Zielgruppe des Europabüros bei IN VIA:
Junge Erwachsene zwischen 18 und 30 Jahren, mit dem Schwerpunkt auf Bildungsbenachteiligung, erschwerter Beschäftigungsfähigkeit oder anderen sozialen, kulturellen oder geografischen Benachteiligungen. Mit dem Freiwilligendienst steuern wir Ungleichheit entgegen, insbesondere junge Frauen und Mädchen unterstützen wir hiermit. Um dieses Ziel zu erreichen, ist es wichtig, die jungen Menschen sorgfältig auf ihren Einsatz im ESK vorzubereiten, zu begleiten und ihnen Unterstützung auch nach dem Projekt zu bieten.
As a professional association of the German “Caritas”, IN VIA Kath. Verband für Mädchen- und Frauensozialarbeit (IN VIA Catholic association for social work for girls and women) can look back on over 100 years of tradition in the field of social work. Our main focus lies on the interests of girls and women in our society, resulting in a wide range of different activities to help and support especially this vulnerable group of society.
It spans from youth welfare service, youth career advice over social work at schools to work with migrants and foreigners. We have a network of contacts throughout Europe. This has developed over years of experience in placing German and foreign Au-Pairs as well as from helping young people to find placements in social, cultural or ecological voluntary projects.

With the European voluntary service IN VIA is offering an interesting access to Europe. We want to give young people the chance to experience intercultural exchange and feel as a European citizen.
The social work of IN VIA Aschaffenburg is divided into different areas: “Bahnhofsmission”, “Prävention an Schulen”, "Erziehungsbeitstandschaft", "Frauenpower", "Schwimmen macht Schule" and the European office.

The target groups vary in each area: the “Bahnhofsmission” looks after homeless people and people in need of all ages; “Prävention an Schulen” offers a variety of social projects and trainings for teachers, pupils and parents to prevent violence at schools; the European office supports young people between the age of 18 to 30 who want to spend a year abroad and places them as an Au-Pair or European volunteer. As a coordinating organisation we also place European volunteers from abroad in local projects.

Target group of the European Office at IN VIA:

Young adults between the ages of 18-30. For the ESC, our main focus is on young adults without a higher education, without a job or with other disadvantages like social, geographical or cultural disadvantages.

With the European voluntary service IN VIA contributes to give young disadvantaged young adults equal opportunities as well as to work against the structural disadvantages which especially women are faced with.
To reach these goals it is important that we prepare young adults very carefully and in depth for the ESC. We help and support them during their service and ensure that they get the opportunity to use their experiences afterwards.
