Das Montessori Kinderhaus Biennennest gGmbH ist eine bilinguale (deutsch/englisch) Einrichtung, die sich im süd-östlichen Berliner BezirkTreptow/Köpenick befindet und im Jahr 2014 neu eröffnet wurde. Es bietet Platz für 30 Kinder (davon 1/3 im Alter von von bis zu drei Jahren und 2/3 im Alter von drei bis sechs Jahren). Das Kinderhaus Bienennest folgt dem pädagogischen Konzept Maria Montessoris in Verbindung mit dem Berliner Bildungsprogramm, die Anzahl von 30 Kindern ermöglicht dabei eine große Altersmischung nach den Ideen Montessoris.
Die Öffnungszeiten sind täglich von 7:30 -17:00. Es ist sowohl eine Ganztags- als auch eine Halbtagsbetreuung der Kinder möglich.
Das Kinderhaus befindet sich im Studentendorf Adlershof und verfügt über insgesamt 265 qm. Hinzu kommt ein Garten von 300 qm Größe.
Der Name „Bienennest“ ist eng verbunden mit den sehr sozial agierenden Bienen. Im pädagogischen Alltag ist der Bienenschutz ein dauerhaftes Projekt im Kinderhaus, das mit anderen Bienenschutzprogrammen in Berlin vernetzt ist. Den Kindern wird dieser ökologische Aspekt über das Kennenlernen der Lebensweise der Biene und Handlungen, die Bienen benötigen (wie bspw. dem Pflanzen von Blumen), vermittelt.

The Montessori Kinderhaus Biennennest gGmbH is a bilingual (German/English) kindergarten located in the south-eastern Berlin district of Treptow/Köpenick and was newly opened in 2014. It offers space for 30 children (1/3 of them aged up to three years and 2/3 aged three to six years). The Kinderhaus Bienennest follows the educational concept of Maria Montessori in connection with the Berlin educational programme, the number of 30 children allows a large age mix according to Montessori's ideas.
The opening hours are daily from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Both full-day and half-day childcare is possible.
The children's house is located in the student village of Adlershof and has a total of 265 square metres. In addition, there is a garden of 300 square metres.
The name "Bees' Nest" is closely associated with the very socially active bees. In the daily educational routine, bee conservation is a permanent project in the children's house, which is networked with other bee conservation programmes in Berlin. The children are taught this ecological aspect by learning about the bee's way of life and actions that bees need (such as planting flowers).
