Περιγραφή της οργάνωσης

The Communauté de communes du Grand Pic Saint-Loup (CCGPSL) is a Public Establishment of Intercommunal Cooperation (EPCI). It gathers 36 communes located in the Hérault region, south-east of France.
This territory is very vast, diversified and has more than 50,000 inhabitants. As a territorial authority, its main objective is the mutualization and management of public services such as waste treatment, water, economic development, tourism, culture, social action and many others. The CCGPSL has also defined additional competences such as the youth competence. It is within the Youth Service that the European Solidarity Corps (ESC) will be co-hosted.
The Youth Service is aimed at young people aged between 6 and 25. Its action intervenes on several axes :
Mobility (Raising awareness among young people in the area about soft mobility/Organize citizen trips to promote exchanges between young people and elected officials/Hosting of European Solidarity Corps/Youth exchanges)
Vacation stays (about 10 stays per year in France and Europe)
Training courses : BAFA, PSC1
Youth projects and network actions (Intercommunal Youth Council, Youth Festival...)
Objectives are :
- Create and develop youth projects to promote openness to others
- To encourage the implementation of actions contributing to the training and active participation of young people in social life.
- Develop and encourage the autonomy of young people and accompany them towards their adult life
