Created in 2009, Peupl'en Harmonie is an association that works to contribute to the sustainable and harmonious development of French Guiana based on the valorization of local know-how and skills, on solidarity commitment, on social and intercultural cohesion as well as on its opening and exchange with the rest of the world.
The team is composed of 9 employees . There are 3 poles in the association: the Local and Touristic Development of Villages Pole (DLTV), the Youth Pole and the Insertion Pole.
Our 3 employees in the Youth Pole are working on : Raising awareness of European mobility schemes and regional engagement; Proposing missions and support young people ; Monitoring and networking with local structures and partners. The objective of the Youth Pole is to encourage intercultural exchanges and to promote civic engagement in all its forms. Its aim is to contribute to socio-professional and European integration of young people in difficulty. The goal is to make mobility accessible to young people.
The target public for our actions are all the young people of the guyanese territory with a particular attention given to the young NEET's (Not in Education, Employment or Training). Indeed, young people in precarious situations, living in disadvantaged areas of Guyana, are often less aware and informed of the opportunities to which they may have access. The target age group is 18-25 years old and the objective is that our actions can benefit as many young women as young men.
