My organisation in Fjaler kommune, Frivilligsentralen/ Fjaler Voluntary Service was establised in 1995, is one of 460 same services in Norway, but with different contents and target groups. But the main aim for all is to act act with volunteeer actions for everyone and not as substitute to paid work. The motto and vision is solidarity between people and together helping each other to make including boroughs and places to meet and stay. Our activity suits very well to ESC`s vision that promotes inclusion and diversity, aims to incorporate green practices in projects and encourages environmentally sustainable and responsible behaviour among participants and participating organisations. The programme also promotes participation of young people in democratic processes and civic engagement.
This year’s additional thematic area in ESC is health. ESC will mobilise young people in projects addressing health challenges, including the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, and recovery.

Frivilligsentralen is owned by the municipality and coordinate volunteer support in the borough and run the free rental for outdoor equipment (BUA Fjaler). The targetgroup is from children and youth up to adults, refugees and mental challenged. Everyone who want to take part, give and receive , is welcome to join us.

We are and want to coordinate meeting places and voluntary work , do information stuff, host and coordinate European volunteers and assist local volunteer organisations when needed. We colloborate with services like for refugees, mental challenged and youth, schools, kindergarden in the municipality, Jakob Sande-center of narrative art, Teaterfestivalen in Fjaler , with voluntary organisations and United World College Red Cross Nordic (UWCRCN) , who is an international IB Upper Secondary School with 200 pupils from 90 countries, situated 11 km from Dale

The responsible for EVS/ ESC within the organisation, Margrete Reisæter, has long experience in hosting and coordinating activities acquired and also some experience in sending in the past 20 years. We have since 1999 successfully hosted more than 60 young people within the EVS / ESC from more than 20 different countries.
