creACTive is a youth association for support of creativity and active citizenship of young people. It’s main aim is to assist the personal development of young people through engaging them in non-formal education activities.Currently we are running one Youth Center in Kavadarci, which is one of its kind of youth centers in Macedonia, where the young people can join everyday and spend their leisure time and to join each of available workshops. creACTive implements various youth projects, on both local and international level. While the local activities range from workshops, concerts, volunteer actions, seminars and sport competitions to various performances and other events, creACTive’s international work includes youth exchanges and training courses organized in Macedonia and in other countries, mainly in the framework of the ERASMUS PLUS of the European Commission, and EVS projects.The work of creACTive is devoted solely to young people; and it is based on the principles of non-formal education, learning-by-experience and intercultural learning. The organization is lead by a highly diverse team of young people and experienced youth workers. creACTive has a large number of members who are organized in many volunteers bodies in the youth centres and in the schools.creACTive tends to contribute to the development of civil society in Macedonia, with a special accent to young people’s place in the social events and processes. We expect that the activities of creACTive will result in development of creative young people involved in the process of decision – making in their local communities.In the recent years, creACTive has also developed activities related to organic farming. In the beginning, most of the activities were carried out in cooperation with a local farm in Kavadarci, but recently we started developing our own farm. Through a variety of activities, the young beneficiaries of creACTive learn about organic farming and about entrepreneurship in this field. We have been developing activities related to farming particularly in the framework of the Youth in Action Programme and now Erasmus +, implementing EVS projects. creACTive host short-term EVS volunteers from other countries, who usually spend one to two months implementing activities at the farm and in the youth center of the organization. Most of the hosted EVS volunteers are young people with fewer opportunities.
