Public kindergarten no. 121 is located in a sunny and warm neighbourhood of Krakow's IV district "Prądnik Biały" , where chidren, both healthy and with disabilities can find a friendly and creative enviorment. It is a place where the children are taking part in both informal and non-formal educational activities. l. There are around 110 children in our kindergarten, at the age of 2,5 to 6. Our pupils are divided in 5 groups in terms of the age. Each group has around 20 or 25 members.
The volunteer will help to develop daily activities with the kids and share his/her own ideas, adapted to the age of the kids. Among planned exercises are
for example: outdoors activities, sports, kynotherapeutic classes, workshops on first aid, meetings with police representatives on security and much more. There are planned also activities shared with parents of our pupils. All of out activities focus on the children and their interests. Program includes all actions which are connected to: education, art, music, rhythmic, gymnastic, english, learning foreign languages. Every year our kindergarten organise many events: trips, art exhibitions, theather activities, costumes balls, "Happy Univeristy" classes, meetings with public library representatives.. The volunteer can take part in all those events and help with the organization as well as supprt the teachers during their daily work.
The volunteers will help to develop daily activities. The volunteers will be engaged in:
- helping teachers to manage didactic activities,
- accompany children during didactic outings,
- assisting teachers preparing didactic materials and decorations,
- helping children in some manual activities like painting, drawing, cutting paper or so,
- helping teachers with taking care of children, especaly with disabled children,
- helping with putting on and off the clothing, etc.
The volunteers will have an opportunity to learn how to work with kids (also with disabilities) and gain some experiance in taking care of them.
