As an organization in youth welfare, Gigos vzw, with the help of professional and voluntary employees, addresses all Genk children, teenagers and young people, regardless of status, neighborhood, origin, education level, etc. As a matter of priority, Gigos vzw focuses on children, teenagers and young people in a socially vulnerable position.

Gigos vzw wants to promote the well-being of children, teenagers and young people and increase their social opportunities.

The needs of the target group(s) form the starting point of Gigos vzw.

The offer of Gigos vzw starts from a strong connection with the target group, the district, the partner organizations, other actors in the welfare or educational landscape, etc.

From the leisure domain, Gigos vzw develops activities and actions that are aimed at the
strengthening children and young people in different areas of life, such as education, work, family.

Gigos vzw realizes a high-quality and at the same time diverse offer to offer children, teenagers and young people the opportunity to discover their needs but also their strengths, to develop themselves, to offer them development opportunities, but at the same time to offer them the opportunity to participate in society in an active way.

From this point of view, Gigos vzw wants to be a "gateway to society" for its target group.
