Beschreibung der Einrichtung

Staffansgården was founded in 1975, as a part of the international Camphill Movement and is situated in the small town Delsbo. Staffansgården consists of a village where about 30 adults with different disabilities live togheter in small units, each in their own, self-contained flat. Our aims are to give adults with mental disabilities support in their daily life and offer them a meningfull existence. With the help of our employde staff, our villagers 8 as the residents in need of special care are called), live and work in four different places. Staffansgården and Backvägen i n Delsbo; Dellengården 13 km away near the North Dellen and Mickelsgården, a farm just 3 km outside Delsbo. There are several daytime activities and some of the villagers work with tings such as gardening, farming and in different art workshops, in a bakery, weaweryand carpentry/wood workshop. They also have accesss to several forms of therapy.
Individual life within the community is important.
Development for both coworkers and villagers are one important aim.
We supply also a rich cultural life including therapies, music and song, eurythmy, theatre and the celebration of the seasonal festivals.
There are about 100 employees in Staffansgården.
