The University of Alicante is a public institution of higher education, dynamic and innovative, with an international campus of reference. Its mission involves the education of its students and the commitment to the advancement and improvement of society through the creation and transmission of knowledge and cultural, scientific and technological development.
Its values are quality, social commitment, environmental awareness, cooperation development, equality, inclusion, participation, critical thinking, tolerance and transparency.
As an educational institution of reference, the University of Alicante develops a task of social responsibility in all its activities. Consequently, it has assumed as inherent principles in its nature, an unequivocal commitment to the defence of human rights, social and cultural projection and activities of solidarity, cooperation, voluntary work and the Sustainable Development Goals concerning the 2030 Agenda.
In the context of the above principles, for years our university has made a considerable effort to encourage volunteer programs, which have been established as a mechanism for the promotion and coordination of civic values, citizen action and social responsibility amongst students, academics and administrative staff of our university.
